Vacuum bagging generally requires an ultimate vacuum of 200mbar (80% vacuum). The most suited vacuum pumps for this application is a Dry running carbon vane pump. This pumps is ideal for this process due to there lower requirement of maintainance and there ability to run at any vacuum range from atmospheric pressure down to 200mbar.
